Annual Trent Mudder
Trent Mudder is an annual event headed by Otonabee College in cooperation with all the colleges of Trent University. Formed in 2012, its goal was to reach out to students and get them active during a stressful time of year (March) when the workload begins to pile up and one usually forgets to set some time aside to get out and be active. Enter Trent Mudder. As a team, students, faculty, and alumni alike are welcome to join in and take part in completing a series of challenges/obstacles to test ones endurance, get a little dirty, and have a great time with peers and colleagues as they race to complete the Trent wide obstacle course based off of the popular event “Tough Mudder”. All proceeds within the events framework are given to the Trent Athletics Center in support of Trent Varsity Athletics Programs.
After the events completion, competitors receive their victory T-shirt and are welcome to the BBQ/snacks provided, which are also available to purchase by spectators. Prizes will be distributed to teams based on best dressed, muddiest…etc. In the evening, a 19+ after-party is offered (previously) at Aria Nightclub. Competitors who keep their wristbands intact will receive free cover and a specialty drink in honour of the event is available that night.
